Fun Pop Poetry #4

Lou_Reed_1977

“Slammin'” by Emerson Dameron

Lou Reed, he was a bold old soul
Punk pioneer from the days of old
But if he really gave a damn
He’d have tried his luck at the poetry slam

Now it’s time to rise and sing
For all young poets to do their thing
Noise is signal, raw is glam
F-bombs fall on the poetry slam

Amateur visions tilt and blur
Voices are found in the PA’s purr
And if you really give a damn
You can tell us why at the poetry slam.
